Wallis Mobile Marine Detailing was founded in April of 2020 by Dane Wallis and his son Dalton Wallis. “I was retired in my mid-40s,” Dane adds. “When my son came out of college - he didn’t really want to go to the city to utilize his education, as he has an entrepreneur spirit like I do. Realizing he had heard me discuss wanting to do something other than retirement, he asked if I would like to start a business with him. I advised him to develop a business plan, and he immediately pitched his business idea to me. For years, he had heard me discuss the need for a high-end detailing company that would go directly to client residences around the lake and take care of their boats. The business would both clean and detail the marine vessels and develop a plan for continued monthly and yearly maintenance for the boats. After carefully reviewing his business plan, we decided to open Wallis Mobile Marine Detailing, and we have been blessed ever since!”
After deciding to move forward with this exciting new business venture, Dane and Dalton specialized their education with various resources, learning a plethora of different techniques relating to exterior boat restoration, such as Damp Sanding, Buffing, Compounds, Pads, Oxidation removal, Scratch removal, and more. They also researched and aligned themselves with various companies that provide excellent cleaning and detailing products designed specifically for marine vessels, as well as others specialized to the auto industry.
