This month, Stroll Inside the Gates spotlights Tim Green Designs, a full-service interior design firm that specializes in approachable, thoughtful design, transforming houses into homes and spaces into experiences. Tim Green Designs elevates both interior and exterior spaces, and they have been reinvigorating homes and businesses with timeless, personalized interiors for the last 30 years.

Tim Green, the owner and founder of Tim Green Designs, first fell in love with interior design as a boy. He would often rearrange the family living spaces while his parents were out for the evening, and they would come home to a completely new and improved layout. Now with over 30 years’ experience as an interior designer, Tim realized his dream of opening a studio and retail space in the growing Lake Oconee community. The Lake Oconee branch of Tim Green Designs opened in 2022. Due to the early success and positive response within the community, Tim expanded the studio and retail space to offer additional products ready for customer selection. The Lake Oconee branch currently has a staff of 6, but they do plan to increase their staffing to include additional experienced interior designers.

Tim Green Designs’ retail store features furniture, accessories, lighting and rugs from luxury brands such as Century Furniture and Baobab scented candles. They also offer a uniquely curated collection of distinctive interior treasures that are available for immediate delivery to clients. Tim Green Designs’ success in their field has led to their work being featured in numerous design publications, such as AD, Better Homes & Gardens, Luxe, Modern Luxury, and Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles.

Soon, Tim Green Designs will preview a nature-inspired custom collection of rugs inspired by Tim's photography and interpreted into handwoven designs. Each design is original and organically chosen to represent naturalistic elements. Additionally, as a member of the Hubbardton Forge design advisory council, Tim can surprise you with unique lighting and décor solutions.

To stay involved in this community, Tim has become actively involved in sponsoring the Habitat for Humanity Showcase of Homes and the Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS). Most recently, he has also chosen to be a committee member of the Heart & Soul Gala to support St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital, raising a record-setting amount to enhance healthcare in the Lake Oconee area.
