Student Spotlight: Reagan Prance
This month’s Student Spotlight is Reagan Prance, a Junior at Lake Oconee Academy. Reagan is the daughter of Steven and Rebecca Prance, and she has lived in this wonderful community for most of her life. Reagan has one sibling, her younger brother Wyatt.
Reagan’s favorite subject is literature, and she especially loves crafting essays and showcasing her God-given gift with words. Reagan’s favorite teacher at LOA is Mrs. Mandy Lipscomb, who both excels as a mentor and can turn one of Reagan’s least favorite subjects (History) into a fun and enjoyable learning experience. Reagan is also a member of LOA’s renowned and very accomplished competition cheer team, led by Head Coach Catherine Nolley. Reagan's team recently took home the title of GHSA State Champions for their division.
Outside of school, Reagan works at Inaho and loves to stay active in the Lake Oconee Church youth group. In her spare time, she also enjoys traveling, photography, skiing, and hiking. When she goes off to college, Reagan hopes to either study something in the visual field, such as photography or interior design, or something in the business realm, like sales.
Though her plans for the future are still undecided, Reagan has big dreams for the years ahead. “I hope to go on a lot of future mission trips,” she adds. “I also dream of becoming a mom and having a family of my own someday. I would love to live in Port St. Joe, as I grew up there and hold it dear to my heart, but I would also love to frequently vacation to the mountains or have a home there someday.”
Reagan credits her parents for helping her grow into the strong Christian young woman that she is today. “My parents have always been such a big piece of my life,” she continues. “They never fail to guide me and inspire me through all my life goals, especially when it comes to my faith. God is my biggest motivation in life.”
