Meet The Clark Family

This month, Stroll Inside the Gates spotlights the Clark family. Many of you probably know Leslie Clark from her work as a real estate professional with Luxury Lake Oconee Real Estate Group, where she has been selling property in the Lake Oconee area for over 22 years, but her connection to Georgia’s Lake Country runs much deeper.

Leslie’s parents, Trenton and Brenda Brown were among the first members of Reynolds, and they purchased property in Great Waters in 1992. That same year, Leslie began taking golf lessons, a milestone that she still vividly remembers to this day. Leslie recounts, “When I walked over the hill at the range for the first time, it sparked not only a love for the game, but a lifelong connection to this community.”

For her undergraduate studies, Leslie attended Mercer University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration, completed in just three years. After graduating, Leslie began her career as a Client Services Manager for the Atlanta Falcons, primarily working with the team’s corporate sponsors. During her time with the Falcons, she gained valuable experience in a fast-paced, high-level environment.

Despite her love for her work and her success in marketing, Leslie always felt a pull to return to her home in Lake Oconee. “I always knew my heart was here,” she continues. “I was drawn back by family, lifestyle, and a deep sense of belonging.” Leslie began taking real estate classes at night, earning her license in 2004, followed by her broker’s license in 2007 and her builder’s license in 2008. Her background in construction, growing up in a family business led by her father, a general contractor, combined with her personal experience of building and selling multiple homes of her own, gives her a unique and comprehensive perspective. She brings this perspective to her work with the Luxury Lake Oconee Real Estate Group. For Leslie, real estate is more than a profession; it’s a way to connect people to a lifestyle she genuinely believes in. Leslie is a proud property owner in both Reynolds Lake Oconee and Cuscowilla.

At the center of everything Leslie does is family. She is the proud mother of three amazing children, Kate, Chandler, and Owen, who, like their mother, are all deeply rooted in the Lake Oconee community. Kate, the oldest, is a rising senior, Chandler is a junior, and Owen, the youngest, is a freshman. All three attend Lake Oconee Academy, where they are all part of the school’s golf team. Kate and Chandler are also involved in leadership and service with LOA, participating in Beta Club, National Honor Society, and Youth Leadership Greene. Kate was recently selected to serve on the 2026–2027 Junior Board of Directors at Farmers and Merchants Bank as well, an honor that reflects her outstanding character and leadership potential. Owen, in addition to golf, enjoys spending his time fishing on Lake Oconee. If you don’t find him playing on one of the Reynolds courses or practicing on the range, you will find him out on the lake. The entire Clark family loves to spend as much time as possible outdoors, on the golf courses and on the lake.

Leslie says what she loves most about Reynolds is simple: “I never want to call anywhere else home.” While she enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her children, she admits that after just a few days away, she’s always ready to return home. She also loves the golf environment, even if she doesn’t get to play as often as she’d like, and she has recently added pickleball to her list of favorite activities. Richland Pointe and The Creek Club are the Clark family’s favorite places to dine out. As a new Reserve Member, Leslie and her family are especially excited about what’s ahead, including the opportunity to experience Fenmoor. For the Clark family, It’s the lifestyle, the amazing people, and the sense of comfort in this community that make Georgia’s Lake Country truly irreplaceable. At Reynolds Lake Oconee, Leslie has found not just a place to live, but a life she’s proud to share with her children and her clients every day.

For those looking to buy or sell property at Lake Oconee, Leslie welcomes the opportunity to guide you through that process. She can be reached at 706-473-5000, and available properties can be explored at LeslieClarkRealEstate.com.
