Sponsor Spotlight: Georgia Tree and Inert Debris Removal
By Josh Hudson
This month, Stroll Inside the Gates spotlights Georgia Tree and Inert Debris Removal, a brand-new business to Georgia’s Lake Country. Georgia Tree and Inert Debris Removal specializes in tree removal/trimming, land clearing, erosion control, and grading. Though they have been open for less than a year, this business has already garnered a great reputation among clients in this community.
Georgia Tree and Inert Debris Removal was founded by Steven Johnson, who started his business with the goal of supporting his family with a service that would also be an asset to the lake area. “I wanted my wife to be able to mother our children and be there for them while I'm at work,” adds Steven. “Young children need to keep that special bond with their mother.” Steven has over 10 years of experience in the tree business, utilizing valuable knowledge from numerous business owners and tree climbers.
Steven and his wife have three amazing children, ages 2,4, and 5. What sets Georgia Tree and Inert Debris Removal apart from other businesses is their commitment to quality work and their exceptional customer service. “I offer my respect and honesty before anything,” continues Steven. “I like building good, healthy relationships with my customers, so I offer seasonal discounts for top-of-the-line professional work. I also offer better than just competitive pricing, because I know how hard the economy is these days. Our customers can have a sense of relief knowing they made the right decision, because we leave yards spotless at the end of each job. A lot of other companies leave tree debris behind, even destroying yards sometimes from driving equipment too aggressively, leaving the customer to do a final cleanup. All my customers know and trust that I don't leave a job without confirming they are 100% satisfied!”
I've been in the tree business for more than 10 years, and I've taken a little bit of knowledge from multiple business owners and learned from a few different tree climbers over the years to finally decide to branch out and create my own brand.
Currently, Georgia Tree and Inert Debris Removal has two full-time employees, Steven and his business partner, Riley. They also employ the help of contract workers when the need arises. As they grow and reach a larger client base here in Georgia’s Lake Country, the business plans to purchase all new equipment in the next year and have at least 3 or 4 full-time employees.
To stay active in the community, Steven volunteers his services to people who are truly in need when Georgia suffers from severe weather or natural disasters. Steven is also the head coach for his oldest daughter's U6 girls soccer team.
