Meet The Oxendine Family
This month, Stroll the Georgia Club spotlights the Oxendine Family, new members of The Georgia Club community. Jarrod Oxendine grew up in Duluth, and Lauren was raised in Lawrenceville. As Georgia natives, family, community, and “southern hospitality” have always played an important role in their lives. Jarrod attended Mercer University on a tennis scholarship, where he earned both his undergraduate degree and his law degree. Lauren attended University of Mississippi on a Musical Theatre scholarship before later graduating from Georgia State University with a degree in Respiratory Therapy. Their educational backgrounds reflect a unique blend of creativity, discipline, and dedication that continues to influence both their professional and personal lives.
Jarrod and Lauren’s story began with a blind date arranged by a mutual family friend. What started as a simple introduction quickly turned into a lifelong connection built on their shared values, strong faith, and a mutual love for family. Years later, they still credit that thoughtful setup as one of the best decisions anyone ever made for them.
Jarrod is now the owner of Oxendine Law, where he specializes in divorce and family law. With offices in Athens and Suwanee, Jarrod has spent the past 21 years helping families navigate some of life’s most challenging transitions with compassion, experience, and integrity. Lauren, on the other hand, is an Executive Account Manager with Galderma, a global dermatology and medical aesthetics company focused entirely on skin health. She works on the injectable medical device side and has been with the company for 10 years. She enjoys building relationships, educating providers, and working within the ever-evolving aesthetics industry.
Family is at the center of everything for the Oxendines, and they have been blessed with three amazing boys. Their oldest son, Alex (15), attends Prince Avenue Christian School and enjoys playing travel baseball and basketball. William (13) attends Dove Creek Middle School and loves football and basketball, while Henry (9) attends Dove Creek Elementary School and stays busy with basketball and swimming. Together, the boys bring constant energy, excitement, and laughter to the whole family.
The Oxendines have always loved the Athens area and were drawn to the sense of community and family-centered lifestyle that The Georgia Club offers. From the amenities to the welcoming atmosphere, they felt it was the perfect place to plant roots and create lasting memories for their family. Now the Oxendine family has lived in The Georgia Club for just under a year and has loved every minute of settling into this incredible community.
One of the things the Oxendines appreciate most about their new home is the strong sense of connection and community. Their boys quickly made wonderful new friends in the neighborhood, and the entire family thoroughly enjoys taking advantage of everything TGC has to offer, from the beautiful amenities and activities to the welcoming neighbors who have made them feel right at home.
In their free time, Jarrod and Lauren enjoy staying active through tennis and working out. They also share a love for deep sea fishing and traveling together as a family. Alex spends much of his time on the baseball field playing travel baseball year-round, William enjoys playing football and fishing, and Henry loves basketball and swimming. Supporting their boys in the activities they love has become one of the family’s greatest joys. The Oxendines are grateful that they also found their church home at Bethlehem Church, where they enjoy growing in their faith and building meaningful relationships within the community.
“We are so grateful for this season of life and excited to continue building friendships and memories at The Georgia Club. We value faith, family, hard work, and time spent together, and we are incredibly thankful to be part of such a welcoming and vibrant community.”
