Meet the Briscoe Family
By Josh Hudson
This month, Stroll the Georgia Club spotlights the Briscoe family. Wayne Briscoe is a Georgia native, and Ashley is originally from Alabama, though she moved to Georgia in the late 1990s. They both attended South Gwinnett High School, but it wasn’t until 2003 that their paths truly crossed. After three amazing years together, Wayne and Ashley married in 2006 and have been building their beautiful life together ever since.
Wayne has been part of his family’s business, ER Snell, since 1991, and he now serves as Vice President and is a company shareholder. Ashley a licensed Master Cosmetologist who previously worked at Salon 124 and Genesis, before dedicating most of her life and work to being a homemaker and raising their wonderful family – a role she treasures most.
In 2007, Wayne and Ashley joyfully welcomed their daughter, MaKayla, and in 2009, their youngest, Chandler, was born. They both attend Prince Avenue Christian School, where MaKayla is a senior and Chandler is a sophomore. Rounding out the Briscoe family is their beloved Goldendoodle, Rhett Butler, who has a knack for stealing the spotlight wherever he goes.
MaKayla is a varsity majorette and cheerleader at Prince, and she will be heading to The University of Alabama in the fall. At Alabama, she plans to study Sports Management and Public Relations. As a lifelong Alabama fan, she is preparing this April for the two-part Crimsonette tryout process, pursuing a dream she has cherished since childhood. As a family trusting God’s timing and guidance along the way, the Briscoes would appreciate your prayers as MaKayla steps confidently into this exciting season.
Chandler is passionate about sports and stays busy on both the golf and bass fishing teams at Prince. He hopes to continue playing golf at the collegiate level one day. While Chandler may be the family’s most dedicated golfer, Wayne also enjoys getting out for a round on a beautiful spring or fall day—especially if there’s a tournament for a cause involved.
The Briscoe family has been proud members of The Georgia Club for several years. They joined seeking a strong sense of community and a place where their family could grow roots—attending family events, enjoying rounds of golf, and gathering for brunch after church, where they attend at Prince Avenue Baptist Church. They quickly found that The Georgia Club was the perfect fit.
From the beautifully maintained golf course to the tennis/pickleball courts, the swimming pools, and all the events —not to mention the new golf simulators they are excited to try- the Club offers something for everyone. Chandler is known for calling the pro shop at the last minute for a tee time, yet somehow always manages to find himself out on the course. Ashley may not play golf often, but she treasures riding along, taking in the scenery and the stunning sunsets. She and MaKayla especially enjoy spending time together on the pickleball courts whenever they can.
For the Briscoe family, The Georgia Club is more than a place to play—it’s a place to connect, celebrate, and make lasting memories. They look forward to many more events, friendships, and special moments in the years to come.
