Family Spotlight: Meet The Lee Family
By Josh Hudson
This month, Stroll the Georgia Club spotlights the Lee family. Both Dillon and Bentley Lee are native Georgians. Dillon was born and raised in Buford, while Bentley hails from Suwanee, GA. The couple first met while they were in high school, and they both went on to attend the University of Alabama for their undergraduate studies. After being recognized for his talent and drive on the football field at Buford High School, Dillon was recruited personally by Coach Kirby Smart to play for the University of Alabama. While playing for Alabama, Dillon won two SEC Championships and two National Championships.
Now, Dillon works as a custom home builder with his own company, Cornerstone Home Builders, LLC, which serves neighborhoods in Gwinnett, Forsyth, and Barrow counties. Bentley, on the other hand, is a stay-at-home mom for their three children, Boden, Rosie, and Lottie. Boden is 6 years old and attends Prince Avenue Christian School. He is very active and loves playing basketball, baseball, and hunting with his dad. Rosie (4) also attends Prince Avenue and enjoys gymnastics and ballet. The youngest, Lottie, is 6 months old, and her favorite hobby is being held by her mom and observing her extremely active siblings.
The Lee family first decided to move to The Georgia Club to escape the chaos of Gwinnett and Atlanta. “This area is the perfect place to raise our children,” states Bentley. “We have really fallen in love with Prince Avenue School.”
The Lees have lived in the Oconee Springs area of the club for just over one year, and they couldn’t be happier here. “We love the community and the people,” continues Bentley. “I love that my son can ride his bike around, and I don’t have to worry. The whole community is very homey, and we feel so safe here.”
The Lee family recently started attending Watkinsville Baptist Church, and Dillon gives back to the community through his work with the Gwinnett Children’s Shelter and the Rally Cancer Organization. In their free time, Dillon loves golfing, hunting, and fishing, while Bentley loves running and playing tennis.
